The purposes we serve.
The Militia is not just about fighting when there is trouble it is so much more. The Militia as the forefathers designed it to be brought unity and security. There was a brotherhood that was unbreakable and it is was the driving force behind gaining this county it’s freedom from Great Britain. Bringing this back in modern times would include every race and sex as we have come a long way from the days of our beginnings. As more people go missing every day now is the time for UNITY. A major purpose for this is to create a united people in a way that none of us have seen in this lifetime. The more united the people are the less people fall through the cracks. Not all missing persons are gone and not all want to be found. Some are on the streets living a life of uncertainty and chasing a high. Some are being trafficked for the use of their bodies. Some are sitting in the morgue unidentified and some have never been reported missing.
The Militia in its size alone could blanket this entire country with the warmth of security. In every home across the country there would be an individual at the ready to band together and make a difference for the better across the country. Hunter goes missing activate the Militia. Child kidnapped? Not making it far with one of our babies. Problems with corrupt officials? I think not. People taking over your city to destroy it? Take it elsewhere or deal with the consequences, hometown proud. Tired of the kids in the house on a nice day but afraid for their safety? No worry the neighborhood is safe.
We are where we are because we are all so different. We are all so different because we have that right. We have that right because we are free. Lets chose to use this freedom for good, lets stop looking at how we are different and look at how we are the same. Each and every one of us is human. We all need air to breathe and we all bleed red. We all hurt and we all have our reasons to love or hate. Those who love, love hard and hate is more tangible as love is from the heart.
We can heal! This isn’t the solution to end all solutions but it is the beginning of the healing process and getting this country moving forward as brothers and sisters in the spirit of God with the freedoms we were given at birth.
What Initiative Petition 74 Does
Initiative Petition 74 will restore the Militia to what the forefathers intended it to be. It is not to start a new Militia in any other form than what is true to the Constitution of the United states in modern times including all able bodied individuals that are in support of preserving the American dream and prosperity of the United States of America. Only those who choose to would have to participate in any capacity of their choosing.
How the existence of the Militia saves taxpayers money.
The militia is a neutral group made up of able bodied individuals focused on serving the people of the states. These duties are NOT just defending the land against enemies both foreign and domestic but are a vital resource for serving the people.
Examples of this would be to assist search and rescue and fire fighting operations.
In the event of natural disasters there would be a local and immediate response ready and willing to deploy to assist in operations without the expenses involved with calling in the National guard.
Helps reduce the need for the size of police force and decrease the amount of tax dollars going into the maintenance of such enforcement.
Criminals having the knowledge that there is an enormous force ready, willing, and capable of gathering in moments would be deterred from the thought of a large scale takeover or attempting to establish a criminal enterprise.
Children run away on a regular basis. Having a large network with eyes open can help redirect these children home and away from the arms of predators. In missing persons cases time is of the essence the longer a child or individual is missing the less likely it is for that person to be found.
Insurance against tyrannical leaders and governments. The mere existence of a unified force that stands for nothing but freedom is a major incentive for lawmakers to do the right thing and work for the people they are supposed to serve.
Voluntary Service
Serving in the Militia is purely a volunteer choice. There are many layers of service within the Militia. The Militia is not for the sole purpose of protection it is also a community of people who love their neighbors as they love themselves as God intended. Here are some but not all of the extended benefits, more people for quicker response to lost individuals requiring search and rescue operatives, wider response to Amber and Silver alerts, and mass response to active shooter situations.
The core of the Militia has been being picked away as it is the most powerful tool of the People and officials know it.

Understanding the citizens militia.
Early state militia: Oregon had its own citizens militia for years, but it wasn’t the national guard that we know today. It had its own History which I encourage you to look in to.
In 1868 the Oregon citizens militia adopted the name “National Guard” aligning with the post civil-war national movement.
The National Defense Act of 1916 cemented the term and organization of the ‘National Guard” as we know it today and is not at all what the founding fathers meant by Militia.
In 1961 H.J.R 9, 1961 was passed and gave control of the citizens militia to the Governor.
in 1975 H.J.R. 24, 1975 was on the ballot titled LOWER MINIMUM AGE FOR LEGISLATIVE SERVICE. What did Ballot title measure 4 aka H.J.R 24,1975 aka Lower minimum age for legislative service do? Purpose: This measure repealed the constitutional provision which authorizes legislation to provide for the continuity of government , in a disaster resulting from enemy attack.
The National Guard’s structure is the standing Army that our forefathers were concerned about forming. Not to be confused with a dangerous force but, they have their Orders from the federal government which creates a major conflict of interest for the people. The purpose of this petition is to point this fact out and request that the President return the Oregon militia back to its constitutionally intended structure.
